These terms apply to all orders placed through triptranslation, Am Schieferlay 7, 35644 Hohenahr, Germany, whether by a private individual or a business customer, covering translation, localization, transcreation, interpreting, and proofreading/editing services as described on this site.
We provide the eight services described on this site: Certified & Sworn Translation, Legal & Business Translation, Technical Translation, Medical & Pharmaceutical Translation, Website & Software Localization, Marketing Translation & Transcreation, Interpreting, and Proofreading & Editing. The exact scope of each order is defined by the item, options and word count/duration selected at checkout, or by the quote confirmed in writing for bespoke work.
For catalogue items (fixed-price documents, packages, per-word items with a stated rate, and interpreting time blocks), a contract is formed when you complete checkout and receive an order confirmation. For quote-based work, a contract is formed once you confirm you wish to proceed with a quote we have provided in writing.
All prices displayed on this site are shown gross, inclusive of German VAT at the statutory rate of 19%, in accordance with the German Price Indication Ordinance (Preisangabenverordnung). The checkout summary shows the net price, VAT amount, and total separately. VAT status: VAT-registered — standard taxation (Regelbesteuerung), not the Section 19 UStG small-business exemption (VAT ID DE347219658).
Standard delivery is 2–3 business days from confirmed receipt of your source document. Express (next business day, +35%) and same-day (+60%, subject to confirmation) delivery are available at checkout on eligible items. Digital delivery is by PDF to the email address provided at checkout. Posted hardcopy, where selected, is dispatched by standard post; delivery times depend on the postal service and are not guaranteed by us beyond dispatch within the confirmed turnaround.
You are responsible for providing a legible, complete source document and accurate information about the intended use and receiving authority where relevant, so we can confirm the correct certification and format. We are not liable for a translation being rejected due to incomplete, illegible, or incorrectly described source material.
We offer a 14-day revision window from the date of delivery for corrections related to accuracy or completeness against the source document. This window does not cover requests to change content that was correctly translated from the source you provided, or stylistic preferences on services (such as transcreation) where a defined number of revision rounds is agreed at the time of order.
We treat all documents and information you provide as confidential. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request before we begin work on a business order, at no additional cost.
We are liable for damages arising from intent or gross negligence without limitation. For damages arising from ordinary negligence, our liability is limited to the foreseeable, typical damage arising from a breach of a material contractual obligation, and in any case to the value of the relevant order, except where liability arises from injury to life, body or health.
See our Cancellation & Refund page for the full terms applying to interpreting bookings and the statutory right of withdrawal for digital services, including when that right ends once translation work has begun.
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For business customers (merchants within the meaning of the German Commercial Code), the place of jurisdiction is Hessen, Germany. For consumers, statutory jurisdiction rules apply.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order applies to that order.
